Opera credits include The Little Prince (New York, Houston); Peter Grimes, La Sonnambula, Intermezzo, Madame Mao (Santa Fe); The Fiery Angel (Bolshoi); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (La Fenice); Wozzeck (ROH); Turandot (Bolshoi) and Gloriana, La Bohème (Opera North). Rick is Chairman of the Association of Lighting Designers and winner of two Olivier Awards for Best Lighting Design 1994, and 1998; a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for An Inspector Calls on Broadway, 1994; and the Bronze Medal for Lighting Design at the World Stage Design Exposition Toronto 2005.
